Another Epic Party Night at The Woolpack

Posted by Paul on May 28, 2014 at 6:45 AM

Thank you Ade from the Woolpack, Haverhill for letting us play there last Friday the 23rd May. It was absolutely packed in there and well worth all the hard work getting in the new PA and sound system.

I must also thank Andy from EPSL for providing the sound engineering and desk - you were awesome and we will definately be working again together in the future.

We have some bigger gigs in the pipeline towards the end of this year so we will see you again at the Arts Center, Haverhill and other venues at that we are waiting confirmation.

As a final note - I would like to point out that the new PA in the Woolpack, Haverhill is brilliant. Just turn up, plug in and go. So, all bands looking for a quick setup venue with a full house, lots of party people and a great lighting rig - thats the venue for you.

Thank you Bay Horse, Sudbury

Posted by Paul on March 3, 2014 at 7:50 PM

The 28th February saw our 3rd appearance at the Bay Horse in Sudbury and we can only describe it as the most mental evening we have had yet. To all you boys and girls in fancy dress - WELL DONE ! and it was nice to see Bananaman pay another visit.

I bet there was a few sore heads on Saturday and it was a pity it had to end at around midnight but we rocked the place all the same.

See you again soon.

Rocking the Arts Center Again

Posted by Paul on February 17, 2014 at 10:40 AM

Thanks everyone who came to see us at the Arts Center on Friday 14th February. I know the weather outside was bad but we still had an enormous turnout all the same – so well done for braving the elements.
We got most of you on video because as you may have noticed, we recorded the whole event, so, be sure to come back here in a week or so to check out the promotional video which is starring you !! I’m told by our video and sound guys that the first cut already looks and sounds amazing so thanks for joining in and being part of it.
Next, we’re performing at a few pubs, weddings and birthdays so be sure to see where we are from week to week by coming here or at our Facebook page facebook/eightiesband where you can get invites automatically if you send us a friend request. We will be back at the Arts Center, Haverhill later this year with some more new songs and maybe a few surprises too.
Glad you liked it and thanks again for joining … see you at the Bay Horse, Sudbury on the 28th Feb or at the Woolpack, Haverhill on the 7th March.
… and more coming soon !

Royston 8th February

Posted by Paul on February 10, 2014 at 4:20 AM

We had a great time at the Alice in Wonderland fancy dress birthday party at the weekend so Happy Birthday Christine and thanks for asking us to play.

A great venue and we will definately be back there some time in April so check out the calendar and keep an eye out for updates.

Here we are - looking like something out of Dr Who (so i'm told).

Live Recordings Now Available

Posted by Paul on February 3, 2014 at 9:50 AM

In case you haven’t noticed, we have a new menu item on the navigation bar – it’s called “Media Samples”. Yep – we are finished in the studio recording some of our songs live so you can get a feel of how we sound when you come to see us.

We all think they sound epic and a big thanks to John at Crooks Hall Studio, Suffolk for doing the recording and making quality tea.

Be sure to check it out – the diary is filling up quickly for 2014 and our next performance at Haverhill Arts Center is looking to be one of the biggest yet, so be quick and get your tickets for the 14th February.

Lastly, can we just say a big thanks to the Bennet Arms in Rougham for the kind testimonial and hosting us last week – I think it was a great night.
